I have cared for these vases for thirty years, or maybe more. I have been waiting for the inspiration and confidence to paint them. This past weekend, Mary Giammarino gave a demo in which she used a regular, hardware store variety putty knife. I gave it a shot. I put down the first layer of color using the putty knife and then switched to my faithful palette knife. I had nice company !
The problem is that while she jumps right up into the car when we are leaving the house, she takes her sweet old time deciding to get into the car to go home.
Normally I'm not in a rush - but when its 25 degrees out I am not as laid back.
Today I picked her up to put her in the car.
I wish I could figure out her issue.
